Who Are the Yorkshire Dippers?

The Yorkshire Dippers group is an inclusive and supportive community of women who share a passion for open-water swimming. The group welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities, from seasoned athletes to complete beginners. What unites them is a love for the water and a desire to connect with nature while reaping the physical and mental health benefits of swimming.

The Benefits of Open-Water Swimming

Here at Duck or Dive, we love wild swimming and being out in nature. Wild swimming in natural waters offers a range of benefits that go beyond the physical exercise. For many, the experience is a form of therapy, providing mental clarity and a sense of peace. The cold water can be particularly invigorating, boosting the immune system, reducing stress, and enhancing mood through the release of endorphins. Moreover, open-water swimming fosters a deep connection with the environment.
